Starbucks CoffeeTuesday, April 8th, Starbucks Coffee will launch a new brand of coffee and what better way to celebrate other than giving it away for free. That's right all you coffee lovers for FREE.  It is called the new Pike Place Roast. When it was mentioned in the office here at Stellar, the first words that were shouted out was, "No Way, Shut Up!"  This statement explains how coffee lovers feel when presented with an irresistible offer. What more irresistible than a product that’s free?

Our Stellar Enterprise's employees are what we like to call "Buck heads" and they support Starbucks every morning and sometimes in the afternoon. What better business model to launch a new product brand than to give it away for free?Think about it. If you have a product that you know that your customers would value more if they just tried it first for free, then when it time to set the price for your new product, all the feedback you need is at your fingertips.

Of Course, this isn't anything new but we believe within most business models in the future that companies will have to build a lot more trust among their clients. It is definitely illustrated online within the technology industry. All you’ll see sometimes is   "Beta" this and "Beta" that.  Well, this means that they are trying to build your trust. Take our advice, it may not be a cup of coffee but if you give the customer what they want, they will trust you more and more.

 Bill Gates

Today, Bill Gates will announce that they are making much of their developer software free to college and university students. The program, called Microsoft DreamSpark will offer development software that Microsoft currently have and will include software such as Visual Studio Professional Edition, XNA Game Studio, Expression Studio, SQL Server and Windows Server. Students who were able to get software at a discount will now be able to get it for free.

Obviously, this is a great opportunity for Microsoft to build steady awareness among future professionals and while getting them familiar with the platforms of some of their new software. Value-Centered Management teaches that a company must first understand what the customer value. With the feedback retrieved from the students, Mircrosoft will continue to create a steady pipeline of communication to the customer while creating exactly what their future customers want. It also signals that they recognize they have real competition (including open source alternatives) when it comes to IDEs and other developer tools.

So I guess open source does matter.

Fox panelist discussed how  Ben Bernanke's appearance before a Senate panel on Valentine's Day wasn't greeted affectionately on Wall Street. The Fed chairman's pointed update on the Federal Reserve's current thinking on the economy and financial markets on Feb. 14 before the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing & Urban Affairs put a damper on both stocks and Treasuries. Overall the Fed said that the economy is experiencing "sluggish growth". However, everyone does feel like the Fed isn't being clear with his communication.
